Note: This documentation is intended for our Syndication Only clients and focuses on the standard method for syndicating UGC and product data by providing a feed in a defined format. Brand user-generated content (UGC) is essential for driving sales on retailer websites. Ensuring that the latest UGC is connected to retail products early in the product's lifecycle maximizes its impact on consumer shopping behavior and conversions. PowerReviews offers a seamless Syndication integration to help you display fresh UGC on your retailer partner websites within the PowerReviews network.

PowerReviews reserves the right to moderate all submitted content to ensure it adheres to the PowerReviews Authenticity Policy and PowerReviews Moderation Policy.

This integration involves two key components:

• Product Data, such that we can match your brand's products to the retailer's products
• UGC, including Ratings and Reviews and Visual Content 

Product Data

PowerReviews will use the Product Data you provide us to match products across the PowerReviews network. This information should be provided via a Product Feed.

To create a Product Feed:

1. Click to view a sample CSV file. Make a copy or download as a .csv. You should format the file with UTF-8 encoding and with no byte order mark (BOM).
2. Edit the sample file you downloaded with your own product catalog information, keeping the PowerReviews' field names as column headers.
3. Send your file to PowerReviews for processing.

Required Fields

The fields listed in the table below are required for every PowerReviews Product Feed import. Match the exact spelling and formatting to ensure your code is accurate.

name	Widget1	The name of the product. Up to 500 characters.	Encode all special characters.
image_url	https://www.example/com/ image/1234.jpg	The full URL of the product image. Up to 650 characters.	Encode all special characters. Ensure you use a high-quality image. The image should be at least 350 pixels in one dimension.
brand	Samsung	The product brand. This value must accurately match the brand name given on your website. Up to 50 characters.
upc	872760558488 (UPC) or 0872760558488 (ean) or 00872760558488 (gtin)	The 12-digit Universal Product Code or the 13-digit European Article Number, or the 14-digit Global Trade Item Number.	This field should not contain spaces or special characters. Only one UPC is supported per product. If you have multiple UPCs, you will need to include a line for each variant.

Optional Fields

The field listed below is optional. However, if you need to use it for products with multiple variations (e.g., UPCs), you must also include all of the required fields listed above in the 'Required Fields' section. In any case where you use the optional field, match the exact spelling and formatting to ensure your code is accurate.

page_id_variant	1234_blue	The variant of the product. This field is used primarily when the page_id has multiple item-level variants, such as color or quantities. For more information on how to include variants in your Product Feed, see Page IDs & Page ID Variants. Up to 50 alphanumeric characters.	This field is case-sensitive and should not include spaces. The use of hyphens and underscores is supported. If you do not have any other system-generated variant identifier, UPC can be used for this.
description	A superior widget for every requirement. An essential part of any widget collection.	The long product description.  No limit.	HTML markup shouldn't be included in the description. You must escape all double quotes. If your data contains special characters, ensure you enclose the entire value in quotes.

UGC Integration

To ingest your UGC into PowerReviews for Syndication to retailers, we require a CSV file containing all required fields. This is the only format we are able to accept for this process. 

To create your UGC file:

1. Click to view a sample CSV file. Make a copy or download as a .csv. You should format the file with UTF-8 encoding and with no byte order mark (BOM).
2. Edit the sample file you downloaded with your own UGC information, keeping the PowerReviews' field names as column headers.
3. Send your file to PowerReviews for processing.

Required Fields

You must provide the following fields in your file for PowerReviews to be able to import your data. Match the exact spelling and formatting to ensure your code is accurate.

Review Date	01/01/2025	The date the user wrote the review.	Date.  Use MM/DD/YYYY or any other valid date format.
Review Location	Chicago, IL USA	The physical location of the reviewer. Up to 40 characters.	String. If no review location is included, it will be populated with Undisclosed.
Review Text	This face wash has become a staple in my daily routine. It effectively cleanses my skin without leaving it feeling tight or overly dry, and I've noticed a visible improvement in my skin's clarity since I started using it.	The main body of comments on the review.	String.
Rating	5	The star rating value.	Whole numbers only, 1-5.
Verified Buyer	Yes	States whether or not the user is a verified buyer.	Yes or No only.
User Email	email@email.com	The reviewer's email address.	If a review is marked as a Verified Buyer, you must include an email address.

Optional Fields

You may also include any of the following optional fields in your file. Match the exact spelling and formatting to ensure your code is accurate.
