Hi. Could you please explain the Pub-Sub Mismatch report? It is not addressed in the Quick Sheets above. I have hundreds and hundreds of items per GLN, but I wonder if that's because our api keeps trying to batch publish to 1WS, but there are no actual changes. We could be gumming up the system. It seems wrong to have 3334 "ItemConfirmationAdd" records in just one month. Thanks.

Hello @Marcy3250 and thanks for reaching out.

I've attached below a screenshot with additional information about the Pub-Sub Mismatch:

The items appear under that report as there is no subscription between you and those trading partners or the publication does not match the subscription requirements.

Example 1:

You published a GTIN to GHX Data Recipient with the Target Market DE, however the subscription between them and you requires the Target Market for the item to be US, not DE.

Example 2:

Items published to Intermountain Healthcare will not be successfully published as they have not subscribed to your company, please reach out to them and request a subscription.

Thank you and please let me know if you need further assistance.

GHX is supposed to receive data for both US and DE for us. Or do they need to use a different GLN for Germany? I have tons more, too, including for GLN recipients that have subscribed to us (or at least look like they have). Example is Premier: GLN 1100004850171 - they appear to be subscribed to us, but haven't successfully synched since Oct2023.

Do these mismatches also populate the Worklist and Synch reports, showing as not being complete? How do we tell if it's MY system that keeps sending info daily, versus 1WS trying again and again to publish to the recipient (whether subscribed or not)? For example, I pasted an image of repeat [successful] attempts to publish to one recipient, and another image of repeat attempts where the recipient field is blank. What does that blank indicate? Thank you.

Hello @Marcy3250 I hope your week is going well.  Thanks for reaching our via the customer community.  Welcome back.  I looked and do not have an Implementation Guide for GHX.  Can you confirm the GLN in question is the one in my scene capture below?

CommunityJedi22_0-1709830130594.png

If so, it looks like they subscribed to you via target market = US.  Perhaps they are a recipient that subscribes to receive content by the target market.  If they have not subscribed to the German target market for you, then they perhaps are not mapped to those variations for your products.

If you have a copy of their guide, does it say they subscribe by target market?

Thanks, Jedi. That's the GLN that we are using for GHX and both US and DE. I am checking with a coworker about the history on that (by now it should be obvious that I am VERY new!). It is always possible that our internal system that integrates with 1WS could have a 4yr old error.

Any thoughts on my other questions?

@Marcy3250

  • GHX is supposed to receive data for both US and DE for us. Or do they need to use a different GLN for Germany? No, you do not need a new GLN for Germany
  • I have tons more, too, including for GLN recipients who have subscribed to us (or at least look like they have). An example is Premier: GLN 1100004850171 - they appear to be subscribed to us but haven't successfully synched since Oct2023. I recommend you look for any recent publication/sync attempts to this or any other trading partners.  Your Sync Status Report shows any successes or failures in syncing with your various trading partners.  Your worklist shows any transactions over the last 90 days and you can use filters to narrow down results.
  • Do these mismatches also populate the Worklist and Synch reports, showing as not being complete?
  • How do we tell if it's MY system that keeps sending info daily, versus 1WS trying again and again to publish to the recipient (whether subscribed or not)? For example, I pasted an image of repeat [successful] attempts to publish to one recipient and another image of repeat attempts where the recipient field is blank. What does that blank indicate? You can use the Sync Report and Worklist to see transaction history and status.

Since you are admittedly new, I highly recommend you check out some of our IM training and resources.  Some of this is pre-recorded videos and we offer troubleshooting sessions and other help as well.  You can find more HERE.

Hello, I'm back with a follow-up to an earlier question about Pub-Sub Mismatches. Is it possible to remove those items from the report? Is that manual, or do I initiate a ticket? I have over 200 in last 6mo, and those are definitely mistakes where I tried to publish items to different target market, rather than clone them.

Thanks.

Hello @Marcy3250 and welcome back to our Community!

Because the Pub-Sub Mismatch Report displays items that have been published to a Data Recipient for which no corresponding subscription exists, you can just Withdraw/Delete those unintended publications from Publications - Manage Publications.

I hopw this helps.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with for this issue.

Thank you!
