Add a Catalog Item

Attach a Catalog Item registered with the Global Registry to GDSN products.

A Catalog Item is a GTIN, GLN, Target Market combination that is used when publishing GDSN data to a Recipient.  

Once added, Catalog Items for GDSN are automatically registered with the GDSN Global Registry.  

Catalog Items can be added from both the Product Index page and the Product Details page. They can be viewed in the Publishing Status tab of the associated Recipient Profile.  

You MUST have a valid GTIN populated and saved for your product before you can add a Catalog Item. Both attributes are available in the Syndigo Default GDSN Requirement Set. 

Please allow up to 3 hours for a catalog Item to register with GS1.

Add Catalog Items to a Single Product 

1. From the lefthand navigation panel, click Products.
2. Search/filter to find the product and click the Product Name to navigate to the Product Details page.
3. Click the Properties tab.
4. Under the Catalog Items section, click + Add Catalog Item.
5. Select the appropriate GLN and Target Market combination(s). To add a new Target Market, click Add Target Market. 
6. Click Add Catalog Items. 

Add Catalog Items to Multiple Products 

1. From the Navigation Bar to the left, click the Products tab.
2. Click the checkboxes beside the products you wish to add Catalog Items to.
3. Click Add Catalog Items in the Actions Bar.
4. Select the appropriate GLN and Target Market combination(s). To add a new Target Market, click Add Target Market.
5. Click Add Catalog Items.
