What: New Guidance Published GS1 US Foodservice Recommended GDSN Trade Item Attribution Release 1.0
This guidance replaces previous attribute lists (e.g.: “Phase 1”, “Phase 2”, “GDSN Attribute Guide R1.2”, GS1 Attribute Explorer, etc). If you are unsure if the resources you are currently using should be replaced by this guideline, please contact a GS1 US Foodservice team member.
Who: This document was developed by the GS1 US Foodservice Attribute Workgroup to reset the list of recommended attributes critical for doing business in the foodservice industry.
Why: To address the proliferation of Global Data Synchronization Network® (GDSN™) master data attributes experienced in the foodservice industry.
Call to Action:
- Recipients: Please work directly with your data pools to implement the attributes from this guideline in your data requests. Update any internal operating documents, such as implementation guides, user guidelines, and/or scorecards to match the new list.
- Brand Owners: Please work directly with your recipients to determine how their lists have changed or any other updates that impact you. Update product publications as needed.
