As part of our continuous efforts to provide quality product information on our website and streamline processes, we wanted to let you know of a few updates that will go into effect on January 1:
Nutrition & Allergens Scoring
- To ensure we are receiving the best nutrition information, we are changing our scoring process to look for the attributes that the FDA released in 2016 for the Nutritional Facts label. Most companies should have been compliant by 2021. If you are not yet compliant with the new label, you will see a drop in your scorecard percentage.
- Sesame will now be included in the scoring of allergen completeness.
- We are in the process of updating our reporting so that you see where you stand with each scoring attribute once these changes are in place.
Submit Documents Through GDSN
After a recent website update, you no longer need to manually send us product information documentation. We can now display documents provided through GDSN to the website. Please proactively publish the following documents to us through GDSN to ensure we have up-to-date information for our mutual customers:
- SDS
- Specs
- Kosher statements/certificates
- Ingredient list
- Nutritionals
- 100g nutritional
- Case label pictures
- Allergen statements/certificates
- Child nutritional and product formulation
- Gluten statements/certificates
- GMO statements/certificates
- Vegan statements/certificates
- Organic statements certificates
Product Videos
Our website can now display videos on the website at the item level. We currently don’t have specifications or preferences, but we are happy to discuss further.
New FSMA Attributes Coming
Coming soon, we will have the following FSMA attributes:
- Regulation Type Code: Traceability_Regulation
- Regulatory Act: FSMA204
