Hello! We have some important updates and reminders to share with our supplier community:

1. Data Quality

UNFI expects all suppliers to send accurate and quality data, as it drives item setup and maintenance of data in UNFI’s systems. The following are just a few of the critical attributes we need you to publish to us:

• Product Images --required!
  • Marketing-quality front Consumer Unit Image (showing brand, description, net content)
  • Case Image
  • Nutrition Facts Panel / Supplemental Facts Panel (for all edible items)
• Quality, unabbreviated Product Descriptions published via the GS1 Product Description field
• Product Shelf Life fields
  
  • Minimum Days of Shelf Life from Production
  • Minimum Days of Shelf Life at Arrival
  • Packaging Date Type Code (for example, expiration date ingredients
• Nutritional Claims
• Allergen Declarations
• Pallet Ti/Hi

2. Scannable case barcodes printed on all orderable cases

UNFI is rolling out case scanning in all our warehouses. It's critical that all cases have a clearly-printed scannable barcode that reflects the orderable case UPC/GTIN for that item. These printed barcodes should match the case UPCs specified for these items in our system, as shown in our SV Harbor portal.

Note that GS1 standards recommend excluding the consumer barcode from being printed on cases, to avoid
inventory challenges when receiving products at the warehouse.

3. FYI - Retired GLNs
In June, we started the process to purge our retired GLNs from the Global Registry and hope to have the process completed in early 2023. If you are seeing rejections from our retired GLNs, this is part of the process and can be ignored. For a list of the retired GLN check out the UNFI GLN List document found on our landing page and community page.

Good morning,

I apologize in advance, as this is a long one.

I've opened one of my items showing "review" from UNFI, and there are a lot of warnings that I have no clue what they mean. Even if I hover over the attribute, I still don't understand what they mean.

Also, there are some warnings that I don't believe pertain to our products.

I'm attaching an image for reference.

It's asking for display type when this is not a display case.

There is NO end availability date.

I don't know what the Universal well capable means.

There is NO maximum order quantity.

Also, there are farming and dairy attributes that do not pertain to our product.

What's the GTIN so I can take a closer look?

@Cls0324 Thank you for the update.  You do not have to delete your comments.  When you participate in a conversation the Community will let you know when there are any updates for that conversation.  Instead of deleting, you can simply scroll to the top of that conversation, look for the 3-dot kabob many, click and then unsubscribe from that conversation.

Good evening, for the retired SV GLNs we are receiving sync errors because of the obsolete GLN. What is best process to have these sync errors resolved? The obsolete GLNs are still in our customer subscription list and no way to turn them off.  Appreciate your guidance.

Hello @AJ and thank you for reaching out via the customer community.  Good question.  Unfortunately, you are not alone as some information providers did not fully delete all publications to the old SV GLNs when they were being sunset a couple of years ago.

Our customers, including UNFI, asked us to look at removing all of the publications that are still in place to those obsolete GLNs.  I have been working with many of our technical teams, including our engineers, on a project to get these removed.  We do not yet have a timeline but will have updates available as we get closer to executing the plan for these.
