This guide covers the necessary steps for your first login to the Syndigo Syndication Platform after receiving your account credentials.
Step 1: Initial Login and Password Creation
- Receive Credentials: You will receive your Syndigo platform credentials (username and password) via an auto-response from Syndigo.com.
- Access Login: Copy the provided username and password. Click the link to the login page.

- Log In: Paste the credentials into the login fields and click Submit.
- Create New Password: You will be prompted to create and update a unique password.
- Re-login: Log in again using your existing username and the new password you just created.
Step 2: Accept Terms and Conditions
- Platform Access: Upon successfully logging into platform.syndigo.com for the first time, you must accept the platform's terms and conditions.

- Find Checkbox: Look for the checkbox located at the bottom of the screen. Tip: If you do not see it, try reducing your screen size.
- Accept and Continue: Once you have checked the box to accept the terms, click Save and Continue at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Add Vendor Choices and GLN
The next screen requires you to enter your vendor details. Filling out this information is highly recommended as it is required to publish your products to most retailers.
- Enter Vendor Details: Enter the following information:
- Supplier Company Name: Your own company name or names.
- Manufacturer Name: The product's manufacturer name. This is your company name if you are the manufacturer.
- Manufacturer Brand Name: Your product's brand names. If unbranded, use your company name or the term "unbranded."
- Add and Save: Type or paste in your vendor choices, and then click Add Name before saving and continuing to the next page.

- GLN Details (GDSN Customers Only):
- If you are not a GDSN customer, you can skip this section.
- If you are a GDSN customer, click Add GLN at the bottom to enter your GLN and target market details.
- Later Edits: You can add or edit your vendor choices later within the Configurations tab under Vendor Choices.
Step 4: Company Dictionary (Optional)
- Add Unique Words: You can enter any unique words specific to your company and brand to your company dictionary.
- Benefit: This helps prevent the platform's automatic data quality prompts from flagging words it doesn't recognize.
- Later Edits: This step is optional and can be accessed and edited later through the Configurations tab.

Step 5: Add Connections
It is strongly recommended to add your Recipient and/or Website Connections at this step.
- Choose Content Type: Select the content type from the dropdown menu.
- Search and Select: Search for your recipient's name in the search field and place a check mark to the left of their name.
- Save: Click Save and Continue when you have finished adding your connections.
- Later Edits: If you don't know the specific name, you can add your connections later through the Connections tab.

Step 6: Choosing Your Company ID (Required)
- Select Identifier: Choose the unique identifier your company primarily uses for your products. This step is required.
- Recommendation: Most users choose the GTIN or UPC option, as retailers commonly use these to identify products.
- Save and Finish: Once selected, click Save and Finish at the top.
- Later Edits: You can change your company identifier at any time within the Configurations tab.
