As you work to complete the QA process in IM to utilize the Kroger API, you could receive CIC responses letting you know areas that require your attention and correction per item.  Here is one of the most common CICs and how to correct it in Item Management..

Product Description Error: "Structure = [Brand Name] [Attribute/Product Descriptor][Variable][Product Name] Example: King Arthur Baking Company® All Purpose Unbleached Flour"
Capitalize 1st Letter Of Each Word.
DO NOT USE ALL CAPS.
Do not use subjective comments, such as "Best Seller" or "Hot Item."
Do not include commas
Product Description should not include Customer Facing Size

RDD: This is an RDD attribute.  Values for this attribute can be updated specifically by the intended recipient.  Published items with RDD values will be sent to recipients based on your RDD specifications.  For example, if you indicate a value is just for Kroger, that particular value for the attribute will only go to Kroger.

How to Resolve: To resolve this issue, review your item and ensure it complies with the requirements above for the Production Description for Kroger.  For example, if your value for Brand Name is in all CAPS on the packaging, just the Brand Name can be in ALL CAPS for Product Description.  The rest of the Product Description cannot be in ALL CAPS and must adhere to the Kroger Style Guide.

Work through the possible issues for this error and update as required:

Capitalize 1st Letter Of Each Word.
DO NOT USE ALL CAPS.
Do not use subjective comments, such as "Best Seller" or "Hot Item."
Do not include commas
Product Description should not include Customer Facing Size

Can you please let me know why Kroger is rejecting these items when we have designated product descriptions based on their GLN's?  Here is an example.  We need the first product description for other GLN's.

Hello @kxsRSC and thank you for continuing the use of the customer community. Welcome back.

Please update the Product Descriptions to include "Milk Chocolate" instead of "MC":

Once corrected, please Republish as New from the Publications - Manage Publications screen for the items to be reviewed again.

We are here for you and delighted to assist if there is anything else we may help with, please. Thank you and Happy Friday!

I am going to back up here....the example I gave above did not have any abbreviations on both the parent & the child, GTINs 00077260108005 / 00077260108012 and it still rejected.  Please advise.

Here is the CIC message from Kroger 0838016000123, so I added our Brand Name to the initial description as shown below - should this fix the rejection?

Hello @kxsRSC and thank you for the follow-up. It's great chatting with you again.

For items successfully published to and synchronized with the Kroger API GLNs, please ignore any responses from The Kroger Company under GLN 0011110000019. We can also suggest withdrawing or deleting these publications to not interfere with the new process, as currently the same hierarchy is reaching Kroger through two different systems or means.

The hierarchy for GTIN 00077260108005 is now Synchronized and has IMF 3147732 assigned.

Adding the Brand Name and the Product Name is important for Kroger, please in the Product Description field, as this is what they will be using on their website as the representation of your product on their website, so that it stands out and also informs the customer of the item at the same time.

We are here for you if there is anything else we may assist with, please. Thank you!

@Val, good morning!

Just a quick follow up question.  Would you recommend that we withdraw or delete all previous publications to GLN 0011110000019?

If so, would we need to republish them back with the new GLN or would we just wait for new requests from Kroger?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @nancyVigo, it's great chatting with you again. Hope you had a great weekend!

For items you intend to update through or have already published through the API process, yes, please, you can withdraw or delete all of those publications (from the Publications - Manage Publications screen) to avoid sending data for the same item through 2 different systems.
If you have not yet published said items through the API GLNs, you do not need to withdraw them yet. You can wait for updates or new IMF numbers to become necessary for these items, at which point you can publish them through the new process and withdraw them from the old one.

We are here for you please if there is anything we may be able to assist with. Thank you! 🙂

@Val, as always, thanks for the info and guidance!

Have a great week! 🙂

Just giving an update - ensuring the Brand Name is included in the product description and then republishing to Kroger API GLN resolved the issue we were having with the rejections at that point.

Thanks.
