Currently, we submit URLs and are part of the 1WS image shadow process for Kroger. Will Image Shadowing remain available?
Yes, we shadow all images outbound to the Kroger API.
Is there a naming convention for images? Can we maintain the GS1 naming conventions?
Yes, you can continue to use the GS1 naming conventions for your images moving forward.
What is RDD, and how can it help with Kroger’s image requirements?
1WorldSync provides Recipient Dependent Data (RDD) version functionality for images in Item Management. This allows you to send specific images, like one labeled “Product Image” for Kroger, without impacting other recipients or publications.
When you populate RDD attributes with recipient-specific values, the recipient-based values are only sent to the intended recipient. This is true for all RDD attributes, not just for images.
Is it possible to use a placeholder image while products are under development?
To submit via the Kroger API, all data and images must be complete.
Can the Marketing message & Images be completed after the initial attributes data is completed?
All data must be included in the initial submission to pass certification and ensure a successful transmission to Kroger.
Are images needed for CASE?
No, images are only required by Kroger for the Each (Sellable/Consumer Unit).
If Kroger allows up to 6 images and we have fewer than that, will Kroger accept our images?
You can have up to 6 images, but only one is required. For example, if you only have four images (front, back, and sides) to fully show your product, including the nutrition facts panel, then 4 images are sufficient. There’s no need to add an extra image of the nutrition panel again to reach 6.
