Kroger Item API (KIA) – Certification & Migration Q&A
Q: How will the certification process work?
A: The Kroger Item API (KIA) requires compliance with Kroger’s PDP Style Guide. Every item must be passed through the Certification Queue:
Q: Should we implement 2 GLNs and send from our GDSN tool, or after certification send the product from 1WS?
A: No additional GLNs are required. Please refer to the process diagram.
Q: How will we know if a GTIN is certified?
A: All items are QA’d in the Kroger API Certification Queue (GLN: 0838016000123). A CIC message is generated and sent to the supplier:
Q: Should we validate the lowest level of the hierarchy for the new process?
A: There are validations required at both each level and the publication level.
Q: Will the connection between Kroger and WERCS remain? Will the WERCS attribute still be required in Kroger IM?
A: Yes. The Kroger–WERCS connection remains in place. The WERCS attribute is still required at each level of the hierarchy.
Q: Will attributes regarding Kroger Class be at the PAL level with Kroger API?
A: Kroger Class is required at all hierarchy levels.
Q: Regarding the next immediate steps, am I correct in understanding that they will be:
A: The next step would be, have your data migrated from VIP to IM. No need to select an API provider as 1WorldSync will migrate your item data from VIP to IM
Q: What is the cost if 1WorldSync is our Data Provider for the API?
A: There is no cost for 1WorldSync customers to use the Kroger API.
