When submitting a new item for Albertsons, suppliers sometimes receive an error message PI4002 - Action or Update not allowed due to your permissions or the current status of the product.

Resolution

An item that reaches a Complete status after it has been submitted and processed by Albertsons can be moved to the supplier's queue using the Restart button.

There are instances in PI for Albertsons when the item could appear in a Complete status as soon as the item is listed. This usually happens because a UPC match was found in the Albertsons system, but the item has not been set up. If the item is in “Complete” with no Corporate Item Code instead (CIC), the item has not been submitted and needs to be activated.

Please select the ‘Activate’ action instead of the "Restart" one in this scenario, and the item will then be moved on your end so that you can continue with the process of submitting it (Restart and Activate do the same thing):

OR open the item and click Activate:

After activating the item, you can follow the normal steps: edit the item, top off the hierarchy page, validate it, and submit it.
