A common error message found in IM is when the character limit for the attribute “Short Description / POS Desc. 1” is exceeded:

The Short Description is “a short textual description associated with the product. This description can be used on the cash register receipt. This is the first line of the description.” The number of characters provided as values for this attribute cannot exceed 35 characters.
You can easily find this Short Description in Enhanced Item Management by searching for it and looking in the Descriptions section of attributes.
