Our technology teams identified a generic message our systems use when an information provider sends GS1 XML to 1WS for an item that does not yet exist in IM. If you encounter the error "error.msg.item.invalid.structure : ???error.msg.item.invalid.structure???" please review your XML to confirm the GTIN you are updating exists.
This error message is triggered for issues when the GLN/TargetMarket/GTIN in question does not exist and a request is made to update or publish it. Please submit XML to add it or add it in the GUI then send the correction/publication XML again.
Our systems use this generic error message in response to this issue for GS1 XML. We use a different error for 1WS XML, "GTIN specified in ID field has not been synchronized to you. Item must exist, be published to you, and subscription for item must exist."
