In the coming weeks, we will be making three key changes to the login flow to stay in compliance with current security standards.
On June 5th, we implemented the first update:
RESET PASSWORD HISTORY: During the Password reset process, users will be required to enter a new password that does not match one of their last five passwords. If the password matches one of the last five passwords, you will receive the below validation message in red:
The below enhancements will also be released sometime later in June or July:
PASSWORD EXPIRATION: Users will be required to reset their password every 90 days.
ENHANCED LOGIN FLOW: Regular Users will be presented with a two-screen login flow where you must first enter your Username and click "Continue." A second screen will require you to enter your Password before you can continue to log in. For SSO user domains, the SSO will not get the second password page but will get redirected to the SSO system.

I had to reset my password when trying to use IM, but the old login still works here on the community page
Hello @credcat71 and thank you for letting us know. As you noted, these applications use the same SSO credentials. Have you logged out of the Community since changing your password? It is likely a timing issue.
Where do i go to change my password? or do i click on forgot password to receive the link to change the password.
Hello @speasnall and thank you for reaching out. Welcome to the customer community. Yes, you can reset your password via the link you mentioned. You will have to create a new one within 15 minutes or start the process over.
