I am an new supplier to Kroger. how can i create items in Kroger VIP?
i received a message "PI99017 Classification is missing. Itemxxxxxxxx" where and how i can add Classification?
Hello @fly_horse and thank you for reaching out via our customer community. Welcome. As a GDSN supplier, once you successfully publish to Kroger (VIP) you populate every attribute that has an asterisk and is in bold and always the Kroger Class attributes which can be found as seen below. Once you enter the class for your product, the additional Kroger attributes will appear. Complete, Save, and validate to see if there is any other missing information. You will then top-off the remaining attributes on the hierarchy page for that item and submit.
Hi! old supplier here, but new to VIP. It's been quite a few years since I've created items for Kroger.i have everything built and linked, and this exporting / topping off spreadsheet part is new i see? is there a help guide on this? i have no idea how to use this. Building the items and then topping off the exported spreadsheet is new. I'm used to linking items and submitting like how it was back in 2018 haha. Thanks in advance!!
Hello @jodithomas and thank you for reaching out via the customer community. Welcome. You can still top off your attributes in the VIP GUI but can also do so via the spreadsheet.
Thank you for the quick response! Unfortunately, once i had everything built and linked together, it doesn't allow me to top off/submit under the products tab in product introduction, (where i would enter my contact info, the requester of item info, the kroger sales event info, etc. and thn finally submit. That option is not available to me for some reason. I don't know if i'm missing a step or what, i used to be able to see all products under the 'in process - supplier' and they are not there. I only see them under the entered items link.
Hello @jodithomas . If you do not mind me mentioning a best practice, I see your company uses our Item Management tool so the easiest way to manage this is to publish your product content from IM to Kroger and then simply top it off in VIP.
If you need to instead create items just in VIP, keep in mind they reside only there and cannot be sent to other trading partners from VIP. That is what IM does.
To be able to top off the item attributes, you must first list the items.
Thank you so much for the help! i got it! Have a great weekend all! 🙂 🙂
Hello,
New here and trying to setup items for Fred Meyer. Is there a different portal or is this all under Product Introduction? I created one item although I am not 100% sure i even did it correctly and now I have a spreadsheet to hopefully upload although I don't even see any sections for clothing or where to list vendor style numbers. Help...
Hello @ColocmTeam and welcome to the Community. Yes, you would use Product Introduction to get items to Fred Meyer. The following link you take you to the section in the Community that goes over the steps to take when using Product Introduction to create and then submit the items to any Kroger group. It also has material on the Data Spreadsheet loader to help with that.

I see that you have already entered style information and specifics for items under the Classification Specific Attribute Information section.
Hello Justin,
Thank you for your help. I will look into the link.
Good afternoon - I am getting this error and the images that I have published to Kroger for this GTIN do meet their guidelines. What am I missing?
Hello,
I have reviewed the image and your "Image Orientation Type Code" should be "No Plunge" or left BLANK. However, in this instance, your "Image Orientation Type Code" should be BLANK.
Thanks
Ok thank you so much.
Keep getting this error even though there is only one image being supplied at the each level

Welcome back! I will dig into your review message and I will see if we narrow down a root cause for you!
I can see the images loaded on the Item Management side and that image still has the Image Orientation Type Code flagged with RIGHT. I also see more than one image on the GTIN in Item Management. Have you successfully submitted items in this fashion for Kroger like this previously?
Hi Shelia,
I have continued to review your images and I can see that the case item has two images listed as FRONT. The message is a little misleading but I recommend correcting the case so you only have one front. I would also to make sure you remove the Image Orientation Type Code from the images.
Trying to introduce a new product In item management I finally got it to Verify So am I done? Is it now in process of being listed? Or is there something else I must do?.
Hello @rogerkw and thank you for utilizing our customer community.
We would recommend taking a look at the below training video to check if all steps of setting up and submitting the item in VIP have been followed:
Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions. We are happy to take a look for you to help where we can but we request you provide some additional context to help us troubleshoot this with you. Can you provide us with an example GTIN?
Thank you
