As privacy laws continue to increase in EMEA and now California, PowerReviews offers obfuscation as a way to stay ahead and aligned with these requirements.
Obfuscation is a feature that enables our clients to obfuscate a user's Nickname (Reviews), Authored by (Q&A), and Location.
By enabling this feature, the Nickname, Authored by and/or Location fields will display the first and last letters only, with 3 asterisks between; this masks the overall input as well as the length of the input.
For example:
- Rachel would appear as R***l
- Marco would appear as M***o
- Victoria would appear as V***a
- Chicago would appear as C***o
Please contact your Customer Success Manager if you'd like to enable this feature. In your request, please specify whether you prefer the Nickname, Authored by, and/or Location fields to be obfuscated.
