As the industry rapidly evolves and more Manufacturers introduce AI-related product designations, DataSource is introducing a new standardized attribute to help improve clarity and consistency across all markets.

What’s Changing?

We are replacing the previous attributes used for Microsoft Copilot+ PC identification:

  • AA – Desktops & Servers – A13087 – Software / Copilot+ PC
  • AB – Notebooks – A13087 – Software / Copilot+ PC

As mentioned on the PDM Update article, these will no longer be used. Starting December, a new attribute will be available.

Attribute Name: AI Level

This attribute (A13131) provides a clearer, more flexible way to classify AI-enabled devices across different manufacturers.
