Create a customized Asset Template to apply when downloading assets from the Marketplace. Designate a Direct Download Asset Template.

Users can select from the available default Asset Templates or create a custom template to be applied to assets upon download from the marketplace. Image size, file type, color profile, resolution, background color, and naming conventions can be customized for download.

Once created, Asset Templates are saved and can be selected/applied for future Marketplace downloads.

Create a New Asset Template

When downloading assets, choose an Asset Template to use to apply transformations.

  1. From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Marketplace > Templates.
  2. Click Create New Template.
  3. In the pop-up window that appears, populate the following:
    • Template Name: Used to reference the Asset Template for future downloads
    • Asset Template Attributes: Select the assets you wish to include in the download.
    • Asset Template Naming Convention: Select Custom to create a unique naming convention. You may also apply a (legacy GDN) Space Management naming convention as explained here
    • Image Size (optional): Specify the size or aspect ratio you want your assets to transform into. Use the custom option in the dropdown to provide an exact width-by-height pixel dimension.
    • File Type: Select either JPG, PNG, GIF, TGA, EPS or TIFF from the dropdown menu.
    • Background Color (optional): Click to enter/select a color (RGBA, HSLA, HEX formats supported; default background color is white).
    • Color Profile (optional): Select to transform to RGB, CMYK, or grayscale.
    • Max Kilobytes on Disk: Enter a value to limit the size of each file within the downloaded/syndicated asset folder.
    • Naming Convention: Use the dropdown menu to select the format of the convention.
  4. When all the transformations are identified, click Save.

Once created, the Asset Template may be selected when downloading assets from the Marketplace.

Designate a Direct Download Asset Template (optional)

A user can designate a default asset transformation template to apply to all direct downloads.

  1. From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Marketplace > Templates.
  2. Click the star icon on the template you wish to set as your Direct Download template.

Once selected, all Direct Downloads will assume the specifications for the selected template. Repeat the steps above to change the selected template at any time. If a Direct Download asset template is not selected, all assets will include default specifications (may differ by image type).
