Use legacy GDN Space Management Naming Conventions when downloading assets from the Marketplace

When downloading assets from the Marketplace, you can incorporate the GDN Space Management naming convention and download structure in your custom Asset Template. You may select from the following options:

  • LegacySpaceManagement – No categorization considered in structure for asset files/folders
  • LegacySpaceManagementCategory – Assets are grouped by “2nd level GDN Category”
  • LegacySpaceManagementSegment – Assets are grouped by segment (None, Food, HBC, GM)

The “Legacy UPC” of the product is used to name the folders and the individual asset files included in the download. The legacy UPC is split into two sections: the last 5 digits and the remaining digits, as described further below. NOTE: A legacy UPC may have anywhere between 8 and 14 digits.

  • If, for example, the legacy UPC has 8 digits, the folder name will be the first 3 digits of the legacy UPC. Similarly, if the legacy UPC has 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14 digits, the folder name will be the first 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 digits of the legacy UPC, respectively.
  • The names of the individual image files are derived from the legacy UPC using the last 5 digits of the legacy UPC, the modifier, and the image view in the following format:
    <last 5 digits of legacy UPC>.<image_view>
