An abandoned cart is when a user on the store adds items to the cart and then does not click checkout. The system has the ability to to capture abandoned carts and report on them. Activation To capture Abandoned Carts the feature must be enabled in the quote document settings (Company Settings > Documents > Quotes). Scroll to the enable section and set the number of hours to be used to trigger the abandoned cart. Once you set the time the system does the following:
- flag that cart as abandoned (it's now a Saved Cart w/ an ID)
- save the cart in the bd as "Saved Cart (Abandoned)"
- assign an ID to it for reporting; regular saved carts will show too
- the Abandoned Cart email will be triggered (if enabled)
- the cart should be available for the report (need to check on if there are any batch delays for this)
Notifications Email Notifications (System Emails > StoreSite > Abandoned Cart Notification) Reports Reports > Sales > SalesRep Punchouts
- Punchout should not create abandoned carts if they complete the round trip.
