Hello all,
Whenever we have a new item that we are selling to Walmart, we have to publish the GTIN to both Walmart and McLane (as McLane distributes our items to them). The publication to McLane always seems to go through without any issues, however more often then not, the publication does not successfully make it to Walmart's Item 360 system. There have been times in the past where I would have to delete the publication to Walmart, wait 25 hours for the deletion to take effect, and then re-publish as new to Walmart. This typically solves the issue, although this process is not the most efficient. I'm wondering if there are any other suppliers out there who experience the same issues.
Thanks,
Patrick

Hello, @patricio55 and welcome back to our Community.
Hello and thank you for reaching out. When reviewing your profile we see you use another data pool for your GDSN transactions. Whether you use 1WS or any other data pool, there are best practices to avoid these types of updates for your publications to Walmart.
Walmart, unlike some recipients, tries to closely follow the GDSN standards around publication type. We recommend you publish your items as New if they are not yet sold by Walmart or if you need to get a new Item Walmart number assignment for the item. If they are already selling the item and you want to use the existing Walmart item number, please publish it as Initial Load.
When you successfully publish as New, you should see your items in “New Items Received” for Walmart. Customers most often encounter issues when publishing to Walmart when these best practices are not always followed closely. Please post any other questions you have below as we are happy to help where we can.

Hello Jedi22,
Thanks for your reply. Our datapool was Atrify, however it was just recently re-acquired by 1Worldsync a few days ago (the announcement was made on Tuesday, 5/9/2023). We are however still on the European platform, even though it is still under the 1Worldsync umbrella.
Our publications to Walmart have always been as New (identical to how we publish new items to McLane), however the publications do not always make it through successfully to WM. It is sporadic at best (sometimes it makes it, sometimes it doesn't and it requires a re-publication to finally make it through). It is my understanding that both McLane and Walmart use the same datapool provider, yet it confuses us as to why the publications seem to make it through to McLane without any issues.

Hello @patricio55 , yes we are excited to welcome atrify to our suite of products and services. My response was that the process you currently manage on your end is different than IM users for publications. Both work great, but I also wanted to touch on the most common publication challenges to Walmart for all users regardless of the data pool. That is a unique issue and I will be curious to see if any other suppliers comment here to offer any other experiences and perspectives.

I have two items I am currently having an issue with. One showed rejected by Walmart but I could not see the CIC to show why it was rejected. I have deleted the publication and will try again.

Patrick,
Not all of the rejections are GDSN related, such as all displays or pallets that have multiple eaches must start with a zero or if the item has been setup previously it does not go through until you do the pub delete.
