Are there any ramifications of changing an NFP to an SFP?
When the FDA says we can use either. We have the product currently published and one of ours Vendors wants us to change from an NFP to an SFP?

Lori,
From an Industry perspective, there are some challenges that recipients would need to consider. The main thing will be how they list the product in their selection and if it needs to change buying groups, say from a food buyer/section to a supplement buyer/section. They will also need to check any shelf edge declarations to ensure regulatory compliance. Along with all of this, they will need to insure that any materials (hard or soft copy) are showing the correct panel format for the content.
It is not a simple change for a recipient, but something that could be accomplished. I would encourage you to talk to your recipients before making the change. Let them know what you are thinking and solicit their direct feedback. Having an open dialog before making a change like this is key to a successful partnership.

Lori,
Welcome to the 1Worldsync community and thank you for your question. I would strongly recommend that you consult with the FDA on the answer to your questions. 1Worldsync can certainly help load Nutrient content for you, we are not experts on the standards of NFP versus the SFP. I apologize that we could not offer greater assistance for your inquiry.

Thank you -- Since the FDA states we can use either we are trying to collect information on how a change would be perceived in the industry
