I have an item I need to publish to Sobeys. I'm trying to figure out GS1 Canada's processes but...their documentation is not great. There's nothing that just shows how to publish something to a Canadian recipient. Do I need ECCNet, do I need ProSync, do I need both, neither?
Everything I can find says that I have to enter the product manually in ProSync. Surely that can't be correct?

Hello and thanks for reaching out. I recently added this section in the Community: https://community.1worldsync.com/t5/GS1-Canada/tkb-p/GS1Canada
Specifically, does this article help? https://community.1worldsync.com/t5/GS1-Canada/FAQ-1WorldSync-Connection-to-GS1-Canada/ta-p/6365
We are working with GS1 Canada on updating the documentation further.

So that document basically says I can publish through IM to Sobeys as a recipient like I would to any other trading partner, right? Isn't there some additional work that needs to be done in ECCNet for French translations and maybe some other requirements?

Hello, yes, there are some requirements for publishing to GS1 Canada trading partners. This doc discusses some of the additional work: https://community.1worldsync.com/t5/GS1-Canada/GS1-Canada-Fees-for-1WorldSync-Suppliers/ta-p/6363
Additionally, the general idea once your agreement is in place with GS1 Canada, you will create French Target Market versions of your items. Each French version will need to have product descriptions and other text value attributes written in French. The French Target Market versions should use metric values to describe numerical values like dimensions.
