Non-GTIN pallet vs GTIN pallet data

Since we had data migrated from Kroger's VIP system, I am noticing data in the fields for both non-GTIN and GTIN related ti & hi. Example below.  All of our GTIN related hierarchy only goes to case level, so for Item Management we would only post data in the non-GTIN fields.

Questions:

  • Is it incorrect to have data in both or should number of units per layer / number of layers per pallet only be listed with non-GTIN fields since we don't assign GTINs pallet level?
  • Is it possible the GTIN related fields came from the Kroger's VIP system?

Thank you for the link as it does answer my question that we should not have data in both areas, especially when we don't assign a GTIN to the pallet.

Hello @kxsRSC and thank you for continuing the use of the community. Welcome back.

When no Pallet level is added to a hierarchy or, even if added, when it is not published to all or to certain retailers, then the non-GTIN Pallet Ti and Hi should be added, please. We have more details about this here, please: TI / HI Validations.

If, for example, you have a hierarchy which includes a Pallet, but for a specific retailer you only publish the Case below the Pallet, the non-GTIN Ti and Hi can be added as retailer dependent attributes by filling out the boxes to the right with the retailer's name/GLN, please:

It is possible the GTIN Pallet information came from Product Introduction when the migration took place as long as those attributes were added there.

We are here for you if there is anything we may assist with, please. Thank you.
