Item Attribute Update

Good afternoon!  I have a question about playlists and item updates.  If I use a specific customer playlist and make changes to an item, when I save the changes do they only go to the customer referenced on the playlist or do the changes go to all customers that I have previously published that item to?  I assumed the saved changes went to all, but wanted to confirm.  As always, thank you!!!

Hello @lflanary and welcome back to the customer community. Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, an attribute update will be shared with all retailers (except for using the Kroger playlist for Kroger-specific hierarchy data attributes) with or without the retailer playlist in Item Management.

Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist with and we would be delighted to. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I am confused.  I added the Kroger playlist, and the item validation said I needed to add the Kroger Scheme/Class so I did.  However, once the GTIN was saved the information went to all recipients and I received error messages that the Kroger Scheme/Class is not permitted.  By the way, I know that I am not sending to the new Kroger API GLN just yet.  I am just working on getting my item data correct to the Kroger playlist then I will send to the certification review.  Do we just ignore the warning from other customers?  I know I have asked this before, but it is still confusing to me....

Hello @lflanary and thank you for the follow-up. Welcome back.

As you add the Kroger playlist and start adding their specific attributes, please keep the Kroger playlist on your item even if you have not yet published to Kroger or added all attributes yet.

The Kroger Class is linked via the Kroger Playlist. Removing this playlist breaks the connection—though the data remains saved, it will no longer sync properly. To ensure your data flows to the correct recipient, please keep the playlist assigned. Regarding CIC responses from other recipient, this is not an issue, as they may store the data, but not actively use it.

And regarding the new Kroger process in general, it is fine for this to take some time to get accustomed to, but that is why we are here for you. We are delighted to assist where needed!
