I have the release notes from 8.28 , is there a tutorial or training on the exact changes that will impact my publications?

Hello and welcome back.
What kind of questions do you have that I can clarify for you? I can dig into finding an answer for you and we can schedule a phone call to review?

I was notified by McLane that my items are "not compliant with GDSN standards" and I am not sure where to start looking for the details specific to this. Its vague. They implied that it is related to the Major release but I don't know exactly what attributes to address (I know the release notes have it all written out but there's a lot of information to understand there)

Ok, this is really easy for you to resolve and I can explain. The Major Release happened and this is for all Data Pools, not just 1Worldsync.
You Data Pool updated the new attribute changes or additions and so did McLane. The items you have need to be updated so the new/change attributes are applied to your items. You only need to do a save on the item so the changes go over and update your GTIN. McLane was vague because they are unsure what needs to be updated. This is not a result of your doing anything incorrectly. The message relates to changes that were made during the release. The items on the Mclane side need to reflect those changes.

SO I understand fully - all I need to do is go to the items they are indicating non compliant, pull up the full hierarchy, save each level and validate under the McLane Playlist. By doing so it will update the information and automatically update the existing data in PI - I do not need to republish as new .. correct?

Hi Cathie!
Yes, correct. We just need to refresh the Case and it will by association take the each content as well. We often refer to them as a "Ghost Modify" , we just want to refresh the content with McLane. You can confirm all went well by logging into McLane's product introduction and the error will be gone. The whole refresh should not take long to happen.
