Failed to validate an item. Please contact administrator.
Not sure why I am receiving this error for the above noted GTIN.

Hello and thank you for contacting us via our online community platform. I took a look at that GTIN to replicate the issue you reported. The parent GTIN validates successfully but when I validate the child GTIN ending in "6030," I get the validation error below:
I recommend you review your unit indicators in this hierarchy and let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Mark

My unit hierarchy is as stated in the link you posted above. Please advise on how to clear the attached error.

Hello,
The error attached above aligns with a rare system glitch/timeout error. Please close your item and reopen the item and the error should then resolve. Please ensure when making changes or updates to an item to save frequently to avoid the system from timing out.
Thanks!

Good afternoon,
I just cloned an item (case) and it won't let me save it. I tried to validate and get the below.
Can you please tell me what I need to do to save my item without losing all my information?
Thanks in advance!

Hello @A_Flower and thank you for continuing the use of the customer community. Welcome back.
The "Failed to validate an Item, Please contact administrator" error is usually triggered when item fields have invalid values or are missing qualifiers. It may also come up when a value of a field does not match its format (such as letters in a numerical field).
Please make sure the following are added correctly when saving the item in Item Management and that all recently changed fields have valid values based on their format:
Product Type
Item Name and language
Product Description
Brand Name
Gross Weight
Depth
Height
Width
Total Count of All Products
Indicators attribute set:
Consumer, Base, Ordering, Dispatch, Invoice indicators
You can also try to use the Save As option in case the issue persists to not lose the data.
As an alternative, if the item was cloned from another Item Management item, you can export the original as FUSE and import it back into IM with the new GTIN updated in the Spreadsheet instead of the old one to update all item data at once. Any other changes can be completed in FUSE or in the user interface if needed, please (names, descriptions, weights).
Thank you.
