Using Vendor Central to upload a file

This is for new and existing items. In IM, there are several playlists that can help to organize content into an export. Enter the content into IM, ensure the appropriate playlist is noted on the consumer unit level only, and publish to the Amazon GLN (0848719000016). An export file should generate automatically. Once downloaded, the content would need to be copied into your Vendor Central template. Please review the content to ensure all content is in the correct place and that the Amazon validations in the sheet are met. Upload the file into Vendor Central. The playlists used for this process will need to be activated by Support for a user to utilize. Amazon Fresh, Amazon Grocery US, Amazon Food Supplement DE, Amazon Health Beauty DE, Amazon Office DE, Amazon Pet DE, Amazon Toys DE, Amazon Alcohol DE, Amazon Alcohol ES, and Amazon Alcohol UK.

 

Using GDSN to update an existing item

In IM, there is a playlist (Amazon-Changes and Enhancements) which is generally available to all users to help organize content that is to be updated on an existing Amazon product. Once corrections are made, publish to the Amazon GLN (0848719000016). Amazon will receive and process the updates accordingly.

 

Utilizing the Amazon API

This option is still in progress, but portions are ready for use. As of October 1, 2022, the outbound connection to Amazon is not complete, however, users can begin to load content for validation and completeness checks. This option will allow for new and updated content to be shared with Amazon. In IM, the Amazon playlist will be utilized for this option. Enter the content into IM, and ensure the appropriate playlist is in noted all hierarchy levels. Once the outbound connection is completed, you will be able to publish to the Amazon GLN (TBD) and the content will be posted using the Amazon API functionality.

When I use the Amazon-Changes and Enhancements playlist and attempt to publish data to 0848719000016 I am told that a number of food-related fields, such as Nutrient Type Code and Preparation State, are required. However, we sell tools, so there obviously isn't nutrition information for, say, a screwdriver. I feel like I'm missing something obvious--any insight?

I'm not using the playlists in that note. I'm using the Amazon-Changes and Enhancements playlist, referenced in the second paragraph of this knowledge article.

Can you try using the "Amazon" playlist?  It validates without nutritional requirements.
