In Early 2021, Albertsons asked for all the images 1Worldync has to help their E-com team.  Albertsons started ingesting all images from 1WS, but would only accept 1WorldSyns-hosted images.  1WorldSync developed the Image Shadowing functionality for Albertsons to help suppliers meet these requirements.

As a result, 1WS implemented shadowing of all External File Link (EFL) images (shadowing was already in place for Kroger, but for select image types). When an EFL image is shadowed it is uploaded into DAM and creates two copies of an additional copy of the image; one EFL (not 1WS hosted) and one DAM (1WS hosted).

Albertson's shadowing functionality was activated in Production in August 2021. When Albertsons receives EFLs from 1WorldSync (DAM data is converted to EFL on messages outbound to retailers) they are looking for a combination of the DAM URL format plus the Image Source equaling '1WorldSync'. Any other EFL group without that combination will not process to Albertsons. 

Albertsons also requests that 1WorldSync scan all 1WorldSync hosted images for viruses and other threats to meet Albertson's IT security concerns.

Set Up for Albertsons Shadowing

There is no special setup for Albertson's suppliers to be able to utilize shadowing from IM. 1WorldSync shadows all images sent to Albertsons from IM suppliers. It is turned on for all GLNs synchronizing from IM to the Albertsons GLN.

Today, most images sent to Albertsons from IM to PI or inbound RDP into PI we shadow into DAM (except a handful of Type of Information types).

RDP comes from non -IM for PI perspective (website and SmartLabel not shadowed); we shadow and scan for viruses when uploaded to DAM.

We are a new non-GDSM supplier for Albertsons and have successfully loaded our items into PI but do not know how to submit images for these items. We do not have access to IM for the Albertsons image shadowing noted above. Having reached out to 1WS on this, the direction we received is to access DAM through Kroger, however we are not set up for that Kroger only Albertsons. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
