Edit the products listed in an existing eCatalog.

An eCatalog is a read-only view of products that includes attributes, digital assets, and content for selected products. It allows you to share products with Recipients who do not have access to Syndigo. 

 

Edit an eCatalog 

Any changes made to a product within the Syndigo platform will be updated in any eCatalog the product appears in. Edit the type of product content that is included in an eCatalog. 

  1. In the lefthand navigation panel, hover over the ... icon and click eCat.
  2. Click the checkbox of the eCatalog you wish to edit.
  3. Click the Edit button above to edit the eCatalog. 
  4. In the pop-up window that appears, edit the content:
    • Setup: Enter an eCatalog name, this name will be seen by those who have access to Syndigo. Select "Yes" or "No" to password protect your eCatalog. Enter the password to be used by recipients to access the eCatalog.
      • User is responsible for communicating the password or updates to the password to the recipient. (Password is not delivered through Syndigo.)
    • Products: Select the products you want to include. You can add or remove products at any time.  
      • The Manage Columns button allows users to customize the attributes that appear within the product grid.
      • Toggle the language selector to display attribute values within the product grid in your desired language. Note: The language selected here will not be reflected within the eCatalog. This option is simply to help users identify the products to include in the eCatalog. 
    • Data Source: Select a data language from the dropdown.
      • This will define what attribute values are surfaced within the eCatalog. Note: Attribute values must be uploaded into Syndigo for a specific language. As such, if the products selected above do not have any corresponding attributes in the selected data language, the attribute values will not appear in the eCatalog.
      • Choose "Yes"/"No" to allow recipient override values in your eCatalog. If selecting "Yes" then choose the corresponding recipient from the dropdown.
    • Summary Attributes: The Summary Attributes are used to help recipients organize and identify products within the eCatalog. The default values are Product Name, GTIN, and Main Product Image. To adjust these values, select and drag the attributes you’d like to display from the library on the left to the right column. You can choose up to two attributes and one primary image. 
       
    • Detail Attributes: The Detail Attributes will appear for all products in your selection.
      • To start from scratch, select and drag the attributes you’d like to display from the library on the left to the right column. You can organize your Detail Attributes by clicking the Create Section button.
      • To copy the Detail Attributes from an existing Syndigo requirement set, click Copy Requirement Set, and choose from the populated options. 
    • Category Attributes: Choose to include the category attributes and select a taxonomy from the drop-down menu. Or choose to not include the category attributes and continue.  
    • eCatalog Style: Design the eCatalog to match your brand. Choose a primary, and/or secondary color. Choose a font by selecting one from the drop-down menu. Add a logo and cover photo by uploading an image or selecting one from your Assets Library and clicking Assign asset
  5. Click Create to see the new eCatalog appear in the eCatalog tab.
