Add Widgets to Hero Image Library

  1. Enter a Project you wish to edit, then go to Enhanced Content tab.
  2. Ensure you’ve selected the desired collection from collection selector, then navigate to the Hero Image section. Here you will see its Widget Library and any widgets that may have been previously added.
  3. Click on Add New Widget and select from the list of available Enhanced Content widgets.
  4. Follow the instructions within the selected widget module and provide all required information/selections. Required attributes will show “This field is required” or are clearly marked with red indicators.
    • By default, the “In-line" layout is pre-selected under “Include on.” Ensure “Hero Image” checkbox is selected to include this widget on Hero Image section. If you wish for this widget to only appear in Hero Image section, de-select “In-Line” check box.
  5. When all required content is complete, click Save Changes to save the Enhanced Content. If content is missing, a yellow exclamation point marker will appear adjacent to the widget row signaling that something needs to be addressed.
  6. You can now choose to assign these widgets to the Hotspots or Toolbar section.

Contextual Hotspots

Use Hotspots to enrich your products' Hero Images and provide shoppers with quick access to additional Enhanced Content.

Hotspots are placed, or "overlayed," on top of the Hero Image of a product page. When clicked, these Hotspots open “cards” that can contain additional key product content (as defined by Enhanced Content widgets). You can add cards like feature descriptions, videos and additional image galleries.

Accepted Widgets*:

  • Images
  • Documents
  • Videos
  • Carousel
  • Text

Activate/Assign Hotspots on Hero Image

  1. Click the Hotspots tab (adjacent to Library).
  2. The Hotspots tab will display the Widget Library.
  3. Click the dropdown above the mock Hero Image and select the retailer you’re adding this Hotspot to.
    • Adding Hotspots inside a Generic collection often doesn’t work because it may include retailers that don’t accept Hotspots. Ensure you’re in a website-specific collection if you’re having trouble selecting the correct retailer.
  4. Manually add the mock Hero Image by clicking the + icon and following the prompts to choose from the Asset Library or upload from your device.
    • Please note that the syndication of enhanced content does not control the main product image. You are simply adding this mock image so that you can understand where to drag and drop your icons accurately. The image selected must be exact to what the real Hero Image looks like.
  5. Set Hotspots status for this Hero Image to Active by toggling the switch in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
    • When Hotspots are active, they will display on this mock Hero Image. When Hotspots are inactive, the Toolbar layout will display on this mock Hero Image instead.
    • Once the Hotspots are active, each widget within the Library can be switched on/off. When toggled to “off”, the hotspot for that widget will no longer display.
  6. Add new widgets by clicking Add New Widget and be sure to turn the widget’s toggle “on” to activate it.
  7. Arrange the icons (Hotspots) as you want them to display on the Hero Image.
    • The icon used when displaying the Hotspots over a Hero Image can be customized by clicking the icon in the Widget Library and selecting from the available icon menu.
  8. When finished, click Save Changes.

Interactive Toolbar

Toolbars can capture shoppers' attention and drive conversion by providing more than just basic product details.

Positioned above the fold, Enhanced Content Toolbars are the ultimate tool for creating interactive and visually compelling experiences. They offer quick access to key product features like product benefits, usage instructions, or detailed specifications.

Accepted Widgets*:

  • Images
  • Documents
  • Videos
  • Feature Sets
  • Carousel
  • Interactive Tour
  • Text

Activate/Assign Toolbars on Hero Image

  1. Click the Toolbar tab (adjacent to Library).
  2. The Toolbar tab will display the Widget Library.
  3. You’ll see the widgets next to an eyeball icon overtop the mock Hero Image.
  4. Add new widgets by clicking Add New Widget or inactive current widgets by switching off the toggles to the right of Actions button.
  5. Arrange the sequence of widgets in the order you want them to appear.
  6. When finished click Save Changes.
    • Please note Hotspots take priority over Toolbars. If you have both enabled, the Hotspot will override and populate on the retailer site.

* Please note that each retailer has specific widget and experience restrictions. Check the Website Connections settings for each retailer for more details.
