Edit multiple products by leveraging the Syndigo functionality in Bulk Edit view, including locking columns, color codes, and shortcuts.

Bulk Edit view has many useful tools to make editing multiple products at once efficient and streamlined. Take advantage of the shortcuts and ensure all product attributes are populated to meet Requirement Sets.

View Bulk Edit

  1. Access a product list from either the Product Index page, a Product Set, or a Recipient Profile All Products page.
  2. From the list of products, search and filter to click the checkboxes of the products you’d like to edit.
  3. Select Bulk Edit. A grid view of the selected products will appear. It will default to show the Syndigo Default Requirement Set of attributes. To switch to a different Recipient Requirement Set, toggle to the relevant Recipient and Requirement Set using the dropdown menu.

Bulk Edit Color Codes

Red Empty Cell - The attribute is missing and it is required in the Requirement Set being viewed. Until the attribute is correctly entered, the Readiness Score will reflect the missing value and the product cannot be published.

Red Populated Cell - The value is invalid, and the attribute is required in the Requirement Set being viewed. Until the error is corrected, the Readiness Score will reflect the incomplete value and the product cannot be published.

Yellow Empty or Populated Cell - Once an edit is made to an attribute, the updated cell will appear yellow to indicate that an edit has been made. Only when a cell is yellow can the Undo function work.

Yellow Circle Warning Icon - The saved value meets the basic requirements, but Syndigo has a recommendation based on industry best practices. Click the icon to view and/or accept the recommendation. If unresolved, the Readiness Score will not be affected.

Bulk Edit Shortcuts

Lock and Unlock Columns - To keep a column in place, hold the cursor over the name of the column you wish to lock in place. Click on the lock icon that appears. To unlock it, hover over the column name and click on the icon again.

Copy Down - To copy values between products, populate an attribute value(s) for the first item in a column. Select the tangential cell(s) you wish to populate and click Copy Down. Depending on the number of cells being populated, it might take a few seconds to populate.

Undo - Once an edit is made to an attribute, the updated cell will highlight yellow and a back arrow icon will appear in the cell. Click the arrow to revert to the last saved attribute value for that cell. When changes are saved, the undo function is no longer available.

Show Modified Products - After making changes to products in the Bulk Edit grid, click the Show Modified Products to view only products that have been edited during the current Bulk Edit session. Click the shortcut again to revert to showing all the products in the Bulk Edit session.

Copy and Paste Multiple Columns and Rows - Multiple cells can be pasted from an external spreadsheet. Add enough rows to accommodate the new content. Make sure the columns and rows match the external spreadsheet to ensure the content goes into the correct cells. Click on the top-left cell where the new content will appear, then copy and paste.

Rearrange Columns - Change the order of the columns by clicking and dragging the label of a column. Make copying and pasting more efficient by rearranging the columns to match the way your content is stored externally. Columns cannot be added or removed because they match the Requirement Set being displayed.
