Create a new Private Attribute for Custom Recipients by starting from scratch or duplicating an existing attribute.
Although you cannot modify global attributes, you can create a private attribute from scratch or by duplicating an existing or global attribute. Once created, these attributes will be available to include in custom Requirements Sets on specific custom Recipient Profiles.
- From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Configurations > Attribute Library > Private Attribute.
- Click Create Private Attribute.
- In the pop-up window, select options for each information type:
- Attribute Name: Begin typing a name for the new attribute. As you type, a list of similar existing attribute names will appear to help prevent using an existing name.
- Help Text: (optional) Help Text is displayed in Syndigo to anyone in your account who will populate this attribute on the Product Details page. It provides useful information about how to complete the attribute correctly.
- Recipient Tags: (optional) Select the Recipient(s) the private attribute is intended for. The Recipient must be already be added to the Recipient List.
- Attribute Format: Select the format the attribute will appear in. Once a selection is made, complete the format-specific Formatting Options that appear. This format content is un-editable once the attribute is saved.
- Click Save Changes. Once the attribute is saved, everything is editable, except the attribute format. To make changes to the attribute format, duplicate the Private Attribute.
Global attributes are un-editable. Existing Private Attributes are editable, except for the attribute format. To edit these un-editable elements, duplicate the attribute and make changes.
- From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Configurations > Attribute Library > the attribute category that contains the attribute you wish to duplicate.
- In the list that appears, check the attribute you wish to duplicate.
- Click Create Duplicate.
- In the pop-up window that appears, name the new attribute. The duplicate attribute is now saved and is part of the Private Attributes list. The new attribute’s information appears with all content carried over from the original attribute.
