New GTIN No IMF Change

I have received a request to put in a change for an item.  The item will have the same Case GTIN and Each GTIN, but the Package GTIN will change.  My understanding is Kroger does not want a new IMF created for this new Package GTIN, but rather have it use the IMF for the item that will be replaced.  How should this be handled in IM and Kroger's VIP Portal?

Hello Dennis,

We will need to delete the publication against the existing hierarchy. You will need to wait the 25-hour waiting period for the publication delete to proceed before you will be able to reconfigure the hierarchy. You will reconfigure the hierarchy so that the new package will reside under that existing case. I wanted to ask whether the category manager advised which way to publish, as case or new?

Thanks @jcharles.  I am still waiting to get confirmation this is the expectation and for how the Kroger team expects this to be handled in terms of using the current IMF.  For the question, "which way to publish, as case or new?" is this publishing in IM, Kroger VIP or both?  What is the difference between publishing as a case versus new?

Dennis,

My apologies, I had meant to say "how are they expecting you to publish the hierarchy, as New or Initial Load?" New is something they have never had before, which is what I would expect since this would be a new submission? Initial Load is a product Kroger has already had set up on the Kroger side.

@jcharles I can confirm the expectation from Kroger is that the new item (item that has a new Package GTIN, but has the same Case and Each GTIN as an existing item in the Kroger Portal) be added into the Kroger VIP Portal as a change and not a new.  They are asking for it to be done this way so the current IMF created for the existing item will be used for the item we want to add.  Kroger did not indicate if this should be done as "New" or "Initial Load".  I am not sure if this answers your question, but hoping it helps in terms of guiding me on the next steps.  Thanks

Hello Dennis,

Would you mind sharing the GTIN that we are referencing, so I may see where you currently stand with that hierarchy? The publication type will be NEW given the information you provided; do you have the hierarchy reconfigured yet?

Following - As I can see I will be asking the same question in the future

@jcharles The GTIN is 00080660957555.  There will be some others but that is one of them.

Dennis,

Is this the correct hierarchy, so all you need is to top off & submit?

@jcharles
It is not.  That is the current hierarchy, it will change.  The Case GTIN will be the same, but in reviewing the request further, the Package and Each GTINs will change.  I have not submitted a publication to Kroger yet because I do not want an IMF generated when submitting the new hierarchy.  Additionally, I need to create the new hierarchy in Item Management which I plan to complete today.
