Is there a way to customize a Digital Catalog sales slick?

Sales Slick is a standardized one-pager that has fixed attributes and layout. 

However, within Digital Catalog there is capability to create your own templates which include attributes, layout, inline/below-the-fold content, logos, coloring, and much more all while leveraging all the great data you input into IM.

Yes, I can create my own template, but nothing appears when you print it to a PDF.

I was trying to print from the Template Preview.  But now I see if I choose the item and then the template name, it will download to PDF.  New to Digital Catalog.
