The Share of Digital Shelf Report allows users to monitor what products are displaying on a specific retailer’s category/shelf page. For example, if a brand sells baby products, the user might want to keep track of the top listed items in the following shelf pages: Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry > Baby.
To navigate to the Share of Shelf report hover over Report Center>Marketing Reports and click Share of Shelf from the left-sided navigational menu.
The Share of Shelf view in the Share of Shelf report presents the count and percentage share of ownership by Brand in a grid and a graph by shelf page for all shelf pages represented by a filter.
The My Products tab provides a summarized view of the rankings and placement of products by category, brand, and site.
Located directly below the graphics, the report table is made up of three separate tabs: Category, Brand, and Site. All tabs represent the same information but allow users to view the reported metrics through the designated lens. In addition to basic identifying attributes, users will see the following:
The Trends tab is accessible by clicking "Trends" in the top left-hand corner of the Share of Digital Shelf Report. The line graph showcases the average rank changes over a range of 7 days by category, brand and site.
Note: For accounts with a considerably high volume of categories, brands, or sites that are scraped, this trend line graph may present best when a filter is applied to focus the metrics accordingly.
The Trend line graph and the report table below are interoperable. Users can hover over a data point in the graph to see a snapshot of the Avg Rank for the selected day. Clicking on a data point will focus the metrics represented in the report table on this page accordingly.
Finally, the report table displays a Change metric for each product. When a product’s average rank has increased over the 7 day period, an upward arrow will display. Subsequently, if the average rank has decreased, a downward arrow is presented. For products with no change, no arrow will display in this column.
The Search Terms tab provides insight into the status of My Avg Rank, vs Competitor’s Avg Rank of search terms and shelf pages. As well as a proprietary score of my brand vs my competitor’s brands.
The Search Terms section of the tab provides an Average Rank and lists each search term that has been added into the Syndigo Platform, and how many products are associated with that term. Brands can also compare their Average Rank for that search term, against the average rank for any competitive products/urls that have been uploaded to the account.
In the My & Other Brands section of the tab, users will receive a proprietary score that estimates (from 0-100), how well a brand ranks by page, and placement on that page. The scoring scale adjusts dynamically as content is filtered within the report. This calculation is pulled from the first 100 products returned by a specific search term.
For example: if Brand X has all the top listings on all sites, Brand X’s score would be 100. When a competitor of Brand X places products within the top listings for a search term, that competitor is chipping away at Brand X’s score.
The Brand Share tab provides search result products counts broken down by Brand for all items both sponsored and not sponsored. The search graphics are interoperable with the Products by Brand table below. Users can select a Brand, to see the sites, terms and ranking associated with each within the table.
