This article provides an overview of the Widget Insights report available in Syndigo under the Report Center tab. The Widget Insights report includes 5 different tabs which contain viewability, engagement and interaction metrics for Enhanced Content. The 5 tabs included within the Widget Insights report are:

  • Overview: Page level metrics
  • Experience: Hero content versus inline content metrics
  • Widget Overview: Widget level metrics (feature set, interactive tour, comparison table, etc.)
  • Retailers: Website level metrics
  • Devices: Metrics by device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)

 

The Widget Insights report is intended to help answer the following questions:

When people go to pages where I have Enhanced Content:

  • How many people visit the pages?
  • How many people view the Enhanced Content?
  • How many people interact with my Enhanced Content?
  • How long do they stay on the page?

When my Enhanced Content is loaded on the page:

  • How often do people see the Enhanced Content?
  • How often do they interact with the Enhanced Content?
  • How long do they interact with the Enhanced Content?
  • How long do they stay on the page?
  • Is there a difference between device types?

When my Enhanced Content is interacted with:

  • What kind of widgets are interacted with?
  • How many times has each widget type been viewed?

 

Navigate the Widget Insights Report:

  1. In Syndigo, select the account.
  2. From the Navigation Bar to the left, select Report Center.
  3. Select the Widget Insights button from the list of available reports within Report Center. This will bring you to the Widget Insights report.

 

Overview Tab:

The Overview tab represents the page-level metrics. Upon opening the Widget Insights report, the Overview tab is the first tab you’ll see.

  1. Within the Overview tab of the Widget Insights report, notice the Product Summary section. The Product Summary section provides top-level metrics and summarizes the overall interactions with Enhanced Content that a client has published and has available.
  2. Click the Information icon to obtain a list of Enhanced Content Metric Definitions within the report.
  3. Navigate to the Performance Over Time section within the Overview tab to review month over month trends. Note that both the Orange Line and Blue Line Metrics can be updated via the dropdown option to update metric relationships in the graph.
  4. As you navigate down the Overview section, you will see a representation of line items or metrics broken down by day. To export this data, hover over the upper right-hand corner of the table and select the three dot icon to expose the "More options" menu, and select Export from the available options. Data can then be further analyzed in a pivot-table and organized by month or other date ranges as needed.
  5. Navigate to the Product Table section which showcases product level information. This table can help highlight which products with Enhanced Content received the most/fewest visits, or which products have the most or fewest interactions.

 

Experience Tab:

The Experience tab of the Widget Insights report provides metrics at an Experience level (Hero content versus Inline content). Click on the Experience tab at the top of the Widget Insights report.

  1. Review the Summary section which organizes the metrics by Brand and Experience type.
  2. Click on the Information icon to obtain a list of Enhanced Content Metric Definitions within the report.
  3. Scroll down the page to view the Time Series trend chart. You can update the chart metrics by opening the Charts Metric dropdown menu and selecting the desired metric.
  4. Further down the page, the Product Table provides a view of product level information by Experience type.

 

Widget Overview Tab:

The Widget Overview tab of the Widget Insights report provides metrics at a widget level (Interactive tour, Feature set, etc.). Click the Widget Overview tab at the top of the Widget Insights report.

  1. Within the Widget Overview tab, additional filters are available including a Widget Type filter.
  2. Navigate to the Time Series trend chart. You can change the metric shown by opening the Chart Metric dropdown and selecting Clicks or Views. These metrics are shown at a widget level month over month.
  3. Navigate to the Table View section of the Widget Overview tab. This section provides insight on how many times Enhanced Content by product was viewed or clicked at a widget level. This information can be exported from the platform for further analysis in Excel. To export, click the three dot icon on the upper right-hand corner of the table to expose the “More Options” menu, then select Export data.

 

Retailers Tab

The Retailers tab of the Widget Insights report provides information on the number of Enhanced Content pages on any given website. Click the Retailers tab.

  1. Navigate to the Pages with Content by Retailer chart which showcases the month over month count and distribution of distinct pages that have Enhanced Content for each site. Hover over the trend chart to obtain specific information by site for a given day.
  2. Scroll to the Retailer Table to obtain information on Views, Viewable Impressions, Distinct Page Counts and Average Time on Page by website. Columns can be sorted in ascending or descending order by metric. To export information for further analysis, click the three dot icon on the upper right-hand corner of the table to expose the “More Options” menu, then select Export data.

 

Devices Tab

Finally, the Devices tab of the Widget Insights report in Report Center provides information broken down by device type (desktop, tablet, mobile). Click the Devices tab.

  1. Review the Device Type table which showcases the metrics: Uniques, Viewable Impressions, Visits and Interaction Rates and Clicks information by Device type. Click the Information icon next to Device Type to obtain metric definitions relevant to the Device Type table.
  2. The Time Series graph highlights any spikes for a chosen metric (i.e. Visits, Interactions, etc.) month over month and is broken out by device type. Open the Chart Metric dropdown option to select the desired metric for the Time Series graph.

 

Additional Report Features:

  • Filters: Select from the available filters at the top of the Widget Insights report to filter to specific GTINs, UPCs, Mfg Brands, Websites, Date Ranges etc.
    • NOTE: This data is reflective of the data that is entered into the platform. If the products with Enhanced Content are set-up without MFG Brand name (using the Vendor Choice attribute), for example, the Enhanced Coverage report will also be reflective of these gaps.
    • When setting up your products with Enhanced Content, for reporting purposes it is best practice to include as many unique identifiers as possible and comprehensive brand information.
  • Sortable Columns: Sort specific columns in the report to further analyze and organize the data to your needs.
  • Pop-out Icon: Click the pop-out icon to trigger Focus mode throughout your navigation in Enhanced Coverage report. Pop-out or expand charts and tables into a single focused and comprehensive view. To access, hover your mouse over the upper right-hand corner of the desired chart, table, or graph.
  • Three Dot Icon: Click the three dot icon to expand More Options including the ability to export reports for further analysis or use in a PivotTables. To access, direct your mouse around the upper right-hand corner of the desired data tables, charts or graphs and click the three dot icon. (Note, it may take a few attempts to expose the three dot icon.)This selection allows you to:
    • Export report into xlsx or csv format
    • Convert layout into a table
    • Spotlight data on the screen
    • Sort in descending or ascending order
    • Sort by unique identifier
