View Enhanced Content as it may appear on a retail website.
The Preview feature offers an idea of how Enhanced Content may appear on a Connected Website.
When previewing Enhanced Content, the display reflects styles, layout, and business rules associated with the selected retailer. The display may vary when the content is viewed on the retailer site. Some retailers may exclude certain types of content (widgets). Previewing is also important because it ensures that the most recent changes made, will be published. If an up-to-date preview has not been generated, then the changes will not be published.
Preview Enhanced Content
- From the Navigation Bar to the left, select Enhanced Content Index.
- Search for the Project that contains the content you’re looking for in the search bar, then enter the Project.
- Once on the Enhanced Content tab, look below the collection selector and click Preview from the taskbar.
- In the popup window that appears, at the top, there’s the Enhanced Content Preview dropdown menu. Ensure Draft is selected, then click the Generate New Preview button.
- After the preview has finished generating, select a specific website on which you wish to view content. “Generic” for the generic collection preview.
- A new browser tab will open with the mock preview of your content.
- The rainbow box at the top is meant to represent your main product image. If you created Hero Image content, (Toolbars or Hotspots) they will appear overtop of this box.
- If any content is missing from the preview, go back to the preview pop up and re-generate a new preview. Ensure the timestamp is updating.
- You can share this preview link by clicking Share URL on the right. Please note, anyone with the link can view this preview.
- You can quickly view your other websites’ content by clicking the Site Preview dropdown and selecting the collection you want to view.
- Once you have visually approved of this content, you are ready to Publish.
