Learn to delete and update assets.
Delete an Asset
- From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Assets > All Assets.
- Select and click the image you want to delete. The Asset Details modal will open.
- To delete the asset, click Delete Asset in the upper right corner.
- You will be asked to confirm your choice to delete the asset. You may choose from three options:
- Cancel to cancel the action.
- Export List to download a spreadsheet of all associated Product Attributes and/or Enhanced Content Collections.
- Delete to confirm your choice and delete the asset.
Once the asset is deleted, everywhere that asset exists, you'll now have a blank attribute that will need to be revisited and replaced with a new image if that asset is critical to syndication. To delete and replace all at once, see below.
Replace an Asset
- From the lefthand navigation panel, navigate to Assets > All Assets.
- Select and click the image you want to replace. The Asset Details modal will open.
- To replace the asset, click Replace Asset in the upper right corner.
- Click Add Asset.
- To add a new image, from the Upload New Asset tab, click Select Files, and select the new asset. Alternatively, you may drag and drop the new asset, or enter the asset's URL.
- To replace with an existing image, click Search Media Library tab at the top of the modal. Then, select the image you wish to use.
- Click Assign Asset.
- You will be asked to confirm your choice. You may choose from three options:
- Cancel to cancel the action.
- Export List to download a spreadsheet of all associated Product Attributes and/or Enhanced Content Collections.
- Submit. This action immediately replaces the old asset with the new one everywhere it exists within Syndigo. It does not automatically republish items using the image.
Once the asset is replaced, the old asset is replaced with the new one everywhere it exists within Syndigo.
Note: You must now republish all linked products and Enhanced Content with this image to any recipient you are expecting to receive the replaced image.
