Learn to override attribute values for specific recipients or use cases.
In addition to editing or adding attributes for products, users can also override an attribute value that has been verified by Syndigo, or that needs to be managed for a specific recipient. The override value will take precedence over any attribute value that has been published on the supplier/brand’s behalf. (Exceptions apply as some recipients will only accept Syndigo Verified content.
To Apply an Override:
- From the Product Index Page, find the product you want to update.
- Click either the Product Name (if visible) OR select the product and choose Edit. The Product Details page will appear for your product.
- Navigate to the desired Requirement Set by selecting it from the Recipient drop down at the top of the page. *Syndigo Verified attribute values are “locked and cannot be edited. For these attributes, an +Add Override option is provided.
- Locate the attribute(s) you wish update and click the +Add Override option below the attribute to populate.
- Public Overrides – Public override values will replace the Syndigo Verified attribute value for all recipients.
- Recipient Overrides – Recipient override values will replace the Syndigo Verified attribute values only for the current requirement set (recipient specific). Recipient Override values will also take precedence over a Public Override value.
- Recipient Null Overrides – Recipient Null override values replace the Syndigo Verified attribute values with a blank value for the selected recipient. Recipient Null Overrides take priority over both Public and Recipient Override values.
- Click Save Changes.
- Click Publish to push the attribute override values to your recipient(s).
