Accessing Item Management in the past was an extra cost for suppliers (in addition to Kroger PI/VIP); how will the API impact annual investment? Also, will there be a service to hire to input data in Item Mgmt for a supplier?
There is no additional cost for 1WorldSync customers to use the Kroger API. We will be migrating all customers to this new process over time. Our DLM (Data Loading & Maintenance) team will continue to be available to support suppliers by inputting data as needed. If you have any questions or concerns about DLM services, please reach out to your Account Manager.
What if we only have access to PI? Will I have access to IM-API?
If you currently only have access to Product Introduction (PI), you will be granted access to Item Management (IM) as part of the Kroger API migration process. Our team will guide you through the transition and ensure you have the necessary access and support.
There is no additional cost for vendors being upgraded from Product Introduction (PI) to Item Management (IM) as part of the Kroger API transition.
Is there an additional cost to use your DAM?
If you are signed up with Item Management, you have DAM (Digital Assets Manager) at no additional cost.
What is the reason for VIP moving away?
Kroger selected three data partners, including 1WorldSync, to lead the transition to the Kroger API. This move from VIP to the API is designed to establish a cleaner, more precise, and timely method for delivering your data to Kroger.
Who initiates or triggers the process of migrating data out of VIP?
You can join the 1WorldSync Migration Queue by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the page so you can complete the online form.
Brands will also be selected and added to the monthly migration waves. 1WorldSync professional services will notify you when your content migration begins/ends. Once completed, you can log into IM (VIP will no longer be accessible).
