Sam's Club GDSN Implementation Guide

Hello,

Any ETA on when GDSN Implementation Guide will be available for Sam's Club? We are getting some questions from Sales and am unable to provide any answers on what is being ingested. There seem to be attributes that we are sending to all recipients via GDSN/1WS that are not populating in the new Sam's System. Any help greatly appreciated!

Good Morning,

The implementation guide does not specifically list all required attributes but does say to utilize Sam's Club playlist. Are the current play lists in IM listed as "Sams" the correct playlists I should be looking at? For example. I chose "Sams-Food & Beverage-Prepared Foods" and it prompted validation errors that don't relate to our products and its information we would not usually provide via GDNS such as :

Does Trade Item Contain Pesticide(doesTradeItemContainPesticide) must not be null. Is Product A Pesticide?
Fulfillment Channel Type(wmFulfillmentChannelType) must not be null. Channel Type
PUBLICATION IMPACT: Composite Wood Certification Code (compositeWoodCertificationCode) is required. Composite Wood Certification Code
WARNING: Sams will only accept values of 1, 2 or 4 for Composite Wood Certification Code (compositeWoodCertificationCode).Composite Wood Certification Code
Segregation Code(wmSegregationCode) must not be null.WM Segregation Code

I just want to make sure I am applying the correct playlist for CPG food products.

Kasia, I hope you had a pleasant weekend. I believe I was able to replicate what you are seeing. I asked our playlist SME if that is something we are working to correct.

I added the Sam's - F&B - Prepared Foods playlist and got validations I would not expect to see for that item.

Hello, Kasia. I learned that these are required validations for Lowe's but most of them have values you can select from saying it is not applicable or available for your product.

You mentioned earlier that "these are required validations for Lowe's" so I was not sure if that meant they are related or using the same play list. We don't normally provide Pesticide or or Wood Composite Information on food products

Kasia, I apologize as I have no idea why I may have mentioned Lowe's. I agree that products like yours that are published to Sam's would likely not have those types of values but they are required for population by Sam's. Fortunately, there is a way to say they are not present for your product.

Hello there, I published an item to Sams on Friday 04/11/25 from 1WS and I am not seeing anything in Sam's IDM this morning (Still shows review in 1WS). Can you please advise how long it takes for it to show up? Thank you

Hello @imeldae Thank you for using our community! We checked the GTINs provided, and they show as delivered on your retailer side. The review message you received was not updated with a new one from your retailer therefore, we suggest reaching out to Sam's Club and see why they are not providing you with a new CIC response. It should not take more than 24 hours for an item to show up on the retailer side.
