Can a new item be entered and put on hold?

Good morning!

I was asked a question by our Item Management team regarding new items that cannot be completed when entered.

For instance, the images, specs, etc. might not be ready whenever I'm asked to enter the item in 1WS.

Is there a way to enter the incomplete item, but put "on hold" until all the attributes are available so that our customers cannot see it until everything is completed and saved?

You could save the GTIN as a draft, versus save & registering the GTIN.

You will be able to scroll to the bottom of the GTIN and see it's not registered. The GTIN cannot be published until you complete the GTIN and save it.

This should work as you need to be able to have the GTIN present but not publishable yet.

Your cloned items will be able to utilize the Draft option as well.
