Hello and welcome to the customer community. This error occurs when you are trying to create a GTIN hierarchy that already exists. If you perform a search for your parent GTIN and select Link you will see existing configurations for that item...

When my item gets to 1WS I get a DATA VALIDATION ERROR that says

"5000:Link Already Present (Duplicate), Parent Item (GTIN), Child Item (GTIN)"

What does this mean? Do I have to fix something?

Thanks for your reply. Sometimes I do updates to my items and that is why I send the information again to 1WS (we use two other platforms before 1WS and do not edit directly in 1WS), we do this all the time but only get that message sometimes....I guess it won't prevent me from publishing right?

Yes, correct, it will not prevent you from publishing the existing hierarchy.
