How does this work?

We want to see about adding to 1WS, cardboard displays. We never have done any items beside, our drinks, or our chips and fruit snacks, that all came in levels unit/case/plt or unit/case. This would just be....a cardboard display?

What would that Product type be? It is a display...that would sit in on the floor in an aisle, but, it's not a filled display that we are used to putting in.

What would the classification be? (cardboard of some kind i assume).

I figure we need dimensions, but, to be honest, what else. The type I assume would tell us what it wanted to be filled in with for the "page".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a meeting about this, at 11am (thursday), and i'd love some answers to be able to give to people.

OH, and yes, we will be giving it a upc??

Thank you so much for any help,

Hello @jackieb, and thank you for reaching out.

When creating a display level, you can use Product Type DS (Display). This is the correct classification for a floor-standing cardboard display, even if it is empty or has no other hierarchy linked below it.

For Classification / Packaging Material, since the item is made of cardboard, select Corrugated Cardboard (Corrugated Board) as the Packaging Material Type Code.

In terms of hierarchy, because this is only the display itself (with no products inside), it can be set up as a single-level item — simply the DS level with its own GTIN.

Key attributes to complete:

Dimensions (Height, Width, Depth)

Gross Weight

GPC (Global Product Classification)

Packaging Material Type Code

Packaging Type Code

Brand, Description, and standard identification fields

Since the item does not contain food or beverages, nutritional and ingredient information is not required at the display level.

Let us know if further questions arise.
