Shamrock Foods won't send a subscription

Shamrock Foods would like us to publish our data to them but when I asked them to send a subscription they said they didn't need to and that we just need to publish to their GLN without a subscription without one. Is that possible? Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question. It's a good one. Technically, no, a CIN will not generate when you publish if there is no subscription in place. With that said, there are different kinds of subscriptions. While some recipients subscribe by GLn and even GTIN, others subscribe by an entire target market. Think, anything published in the U.S., as an example.

To check this, you can log into IM, go to Reports, click Current Subscriptions, in the search parameters on the left, select General as the subscription type and enter the Shamrock GLN.

Thank you. I did that and "No records found" came up. I'm guessing that means they will need to send something to us in order for us to publish to them. Let me know if that is correct. Thanks.

There will have to be a sub from them to you in some fashion. Please let me know if your publication did not generate a CIN to them in your worklist...
