Minimum character length for product description

Is there a minimum character length for the product description? I had thought it had to be at least 40 characters. Please advise. Thanks.

That would depend on the company you want to send the item to.

It can be up to a maximum of 200 characters and most companies won't have a minimum character limit.

Some companies have a landing page/implementation guide saying what they expect to receive for that field like for example Kroger Kroger PDP Guidelines - Quick Reference for Style Guide & More but for most it would be a case by case basis depending on what that specific recipient wants.
