Why isn't there any notifications posted in IM when the system is down?

I just saw the 1WorldSync Incident message here on the community board, so now I know where to look if something in IM doesn't seem to be working. However, I still feel that a message should be posted in IM's message center or dashboard when there are system issues so I don't have to leave IM to look here.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. I will make sure our Product teams receive it. You can subscribe to the area in the community where we post the incident updates and can subscribe just about anywhere else. For those areas you are subscribed to, you will receive an email from us letting you know when there are updates. To subscribe, just go to a community page, and in the upper rand area, click the three dot menu and click subscribe.
