Hierarchy Quantities

Hi! I am receiving the following error msg: Your parent and child direct link quantities should match your parent Item Total Count of All Products (totalQuantityOfNextLowerTradeItem)

Please see the attached photo. Note that I have Case -> Inner Display Pack -> Each. In the hierarchy list, should "Qty" always be the number of eaches or the number of the item, i.e. the number of inner display packs in a case. My case contains 2 inner displays of 12 eaches, for a total of 24 eaches per case. I don't want to list this incorrectly with the risk that it will publish with false info. Thank you!

The discrepancy is between the value you have for Total Count of All Products on the Case GTIN and the link quantity in the hierarchy, these 2 numbers should match:

@DanV thank you. How can I edit that number? It won't let me change the 2 to a 24. I tried removing the items from the hierarchy to start again but I'm getting the following message:

Parent Link GTIN (10850271002053) is having duplicate child links

Hello,

You are receiving this error due to the system not allowing duplicate links. Please select the "-_ sign next to the item followed by "Update Hierarchy" BEFORE adding the link again with the new quantity.

@BigBuford Thank you! I have used the red delete button to remove the levels and followed with "update hierarchy" per your instructions. When I go in to try and rebuild the levels, I'm met with error msg: "Parent Link GTIN (00850271002162) is having duplicate child links" I'm not sure how else to remove the child links. Any help is appreciated!

I have attached the documentation on How to LINK Products in Item Management - Quick Sheets. Please review step 4 from the item link section as it suggests updating the hierarchy and adding the products to the links one by one.

Please link Display to Case and update the hierarchy. Since your Display and Each are already linked, if you attempt to link them again to the Case, it will give you the message that there are duplicate links.

You are doing a couple of things that are causing your problem.

Go into the EACH item and change the Total Count of All Products to 1, EACH items ALWAYS have 1 as their Total Count of All Products. If you have the weights of those items correct them as you go.

The Gross weights cannot be the same. You will take the gross weight of the case and DIVIDE it by the number of each item in the case. This should be what each item weighs, do you have a spec sheet to confirm?

My colleague was referring to a product document that confirms your item's weights. If you have that you can then calculate the weights correctly for the Case and Each. For any Case, the Gross Weight can be calculated by multiplying the Gross Weight of one Each by how many Eaches are in a Case. For example, if you have 10 Eaches of 1 Pound in a Case, the Case will weigh at least 10 Pounds, probably a bit more because of the additional packaging.
