Adding a Bioengineered Statement to Existing Products

Hi - we have a couple of products that we are adding the statement "Contains a Bioengineered Food Ingredient" to the packaging. Would this be considered a certification and would this require a new GTIN following the GTIN Management Standards? This is a grey area to me.

GS1 US manages and creates the standards, they have a wealth of information.

@jcharles yes, very useful tool. This was the first place I looked.

I have since been notified our customer is going to change their GTIN's for this change.
